I don't know about Neitzche, but apparently, all of Hamlet's actions stemmed from the fact that he was mad, instead of pretending to be mad, as the original author wrote it.

Well, this was simply another creative interpretation.
I have to say, my issues with the script aside, the director did a beautiful job with using the available space. Outdoor plays are just so cool, it's neat to see people popping in and out of the greenery.
